The following presentation demonstrates my efforts towards creating a project
that tackled the dilema in the trucking industry. Due to a lack of drivers in
the trucking industry, I helped divise a project that would serve as a proof of
concept for semi-autonomous truck driving using Unity as an engine and Blender for
3D modeling of the cab and other assets.
- Unity Work: As the lead of the Unity team for the project,
I created all of the interactions with the FPV cameras on the RC truck used
for the project. The main scene revolved around the likeness of an actual truck
cab, with each of the four fpv cameras representing a window/mirror. The FPV
camera implementation allowed for nearly 360 degree vision around the truck
(RC car) at all times!
- Blender Work: As the lead of the Blender team for the project,
I created all 3D models seen in the project demo. The truck cab and all of it's features,
as well as the 'rearview mirror', where all created in Blender and imported to Unity.
